Bedford: where are the classes held?
Our Bedford antenatal classes are held at the Kingfisher pub on Cardington Road, which has onsite parking.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Sarah
Sarah is one of the midwives who teaches our Bedford antenatal classes. Sarah graduated as a midwife from City University London in 2014 and has worked in all areas of midwifery, from obstetric research to a case-loading home birth team. Sarah has a particular interest in providing individualised and informed care to parents.
In her spare time, Sarah can usually be found out exploring the Bedfordshire countryside with her Cocker Spaniel, Larry. She says
"One of my favourite things about being a midwife is guiding expectant parents through the mountains of information out there to enable you to make best decisions for you and your family. I can't wait to welcome you to the course!"
How does this differ to NCT classes in Bedford?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, NCT classes in Bedford are priced at £269, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Bedford are held at St Andrews Church whereas our classes take place at the Kingfisher so you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
