Pudsey, Leeds: where are the classes held?
Our Pudsey, Leeds antenatal classes are held at a The Royal hotel, on Station Road in the heart of Pudsey. There is on-street parking in the neighbouring streets.

Who runs the classes?
Meet Sam.
Sam is one of the midwives who teaches our Pudsey antenatal classes. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2020 and worked as a continuity of care midwife for two years before moving into research. She’s now applying for PhD in Midwifery, looking into improving outcomes for women who experience pre-term birth. In her spare time she loves going to the gym and keeping fit, and playing the piano! She says: “I can’t wait to host the HPHB classes and support the parents of Pudsey to become happy and informed parents. It’s such a privilege to support new parents at this exciting, life changing time!“
How does this differ to NCT classes in Pudsey Leeds?
The reason NCT springs to mind first for many people when thinking about antenatal classes is because the classes have been around since the 1950s. For many decades they were the only form of antenatal classes available. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case.
The NCT is a charity and instructors complete a degree course to teach the classes. All Happy Parents Happy Baby instructors are midwives and doctors so have a degree but also thousands of hours of practical experience working in birth centres and hospitals.
Unlike NCT classes, our antenatal classes all include hypnobirthing and baby first aid at no extra cost. At the time of writing, the nearest NCT classes are in Baildon and are priced at £269, compared to prices from £199 for Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes. NCT classes in Baildon are held at Baildon Community Link whereas our classes take place at the Royal Hotel in Pudsey where you can relax and make the most of socialising with your course mates.
