Walthamstow: where are the classes held?
Our Walthamstow antenatal classes are held at The Bell pub, on Forest Road, which is close to Walthamstow Central station and which is easily accessible by bus. There is parking available close by too.
How much are Walthamstow antenatal classes?
Our Walthamstow antenatal classes cost £259 for two people. We also offer a single-parent discount. See our FAQs for full details.
Who runs the classes?
Meet Abby.
Abby is one of the midwives who teaches our Walthamstow antenatal classes. Abby qualified from City St George's. She says, "I believe that knowing your options and being prepared about the twist and turns of pregnancy, labour and the newborn stage will only help you navigate the journey smoothly. Having a great network of like minded mums and dads only helps that! I love seeing the course mates grow in confidence over the course and see the beginnings of life long friendships!"
Meet Jeni.
Jeni is one of the midwives that teaches our courses in Walthamstow. Jeni qualified from City St George's. She says, "Being able to support families to feel prepared and informed at such an important time in their lives is really special. I believe that building a support network is absolutely invaluable and I am really looking forward to getting to know you and supporting you through the HPHB course."
How does this differ to NCT classes in Walthamstow?
NCT classes have been around since the 1950s and for many decades were the only antenatal classes. This means many people believe that all antenatal classes are NCT classes, which is not the case. Happy Parents Happy Baby antenatal classes in Walthamstow are not the same as NCT classes in Walthamstow, or other antenatal classes in and around Walthamstow. Here are some of the differences (as per December 2024).
Our local Walthamstow community
Most of the people coming on our Walthamstow course are from Walthamstow. The course is also popular with those living in neighbouring areas of Chingford and Tottenham.
From walks in Lloyd Park or in Walthamstow Village, to coffee shop hangouts and playdates at each other’s houses, graduates from our Walthamstow antenatal classes are never short of things to do together.
